The first phase of the Manhattan is estimated to cost $125 million and will be comprised of over 80 condo-style homes with modern coastal finishes. Each unit will include 1,050 to 2,600 square feet of living space.

The $7.4 million station, now a permanent structure spanning 13,000 square feet, was built to withstand the impacts of a Category 4 hurricane. It also is expected to earn the U.S. Green Business Council certification.

The Bay project has been the focus of a lot of attention for Sarasota city and county residents alike. It represents another one of the large developments that will be moving into Sarasota in the coming years with one large difference: it’s about the public.

The new building will feature an indoor/outdoor stage, a new commercial kitchen, LED lighting, storefront glass, brick and metal cladding.
