Florida Studio Theatre has become one of the largest subscription theatres in the country. With this growth the need for expansion was inevitable. The Mulva Arts Plaza is an eleventh-story building located in downtown Sarasota. This plaza features a new mainstage, two new cabaret theatres, 55 extended stay studio apartments for guest artists, and 30 housing units for year-round, local arts workers, as well as parking for 200. Construction will be concrete post-tensioned floor plates supported by concrete columns and shear walls.
